Gingham Baby uses quality, natural ingredients to make our skin care products. We choose our ingredients for their mildness, skin sensitivity levels, and their benefits.

Not all of our products are 100% all-natural. We feel that safety should be the highest priority and just because something is 'all-natural' doesn't mean it is safe.

Our products contain no parabens, no phthalates, no formaldehyde, no sulfates and no DEA.


Preservatives
Bacteria, mold, and fungus are always an important issue with any type of skin care products. Any product containing water requires a preservative as water is 'the beginning of all life', even microbial life. We have researched some of the 'food' preservatives and found that they can be irritating to skin, so we have chosen not to use them. Instead, we use both an all natural preservative and a very mild market-type preservative in products that require it. We have found this preservative to be milder on skin and safer to formulate with than the food preservatives. You may choose to order lotion with an all-natural preservative, however, you need to use the product within 6 - 8 months.

Specific Allergies
If you have a nut allergy, our Herbal Infused Oil contains kukui nut oil and After Bath Oil contains sweet almond oil. You may request the After Bath Oil without sweet almond and we will substitute for you. We do use ingredients derived from coconuts, but coconuts don't fall into a 'nut allergy' class for most people. All of our products are marked for specific issues.

Natural Goodness
At Gingham Baby we make our products with natural vegetable and fruit oils and butters. No petroleum is used in our formulas. We also use natural clays, minerals, botanicals, and essential oils.
